Nope. I'm a proud aunt, cousin and friend to many creative kids!

Yes - we have two dogs! Morgan is a Norwegian Elkhound and Dori is a Boston Terrier.
Do you have siblings?
Yes. My younger sister is a principal for an expeditionary charter school in Milwaukee, Wisconsin; she's married and has a young daughter and a baby boy on the way. My younger brother is an independent student filmmaker in Portland, Oregon.

What are your hobbies?
I love arts and crafts - drawing, painting, designing floral arrangements, creating unique party favors - anything involving imagination and creativity! I also like to travel with friends, water and snow ski, and rollerblade. And I really enjoy my work.

I'm a sucker for Italian food - chopped salad (especially from Maggiano's Little Italy), spaghetti and meatballs, Chianti, and tiramisu for dessert.

Favorite books and authors?
My favorite authors are Shel Silverstein (The Giving Tree, Where the Sidewalk Ends), J.R.R. Tolkien (The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings) and Stephen King (everything he writes).

The Lord of the Rings trilogy, King Kong (all versions) and The Black Stallion

The Dukes of Hazzard and Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Favorite toys growing up?
As a child, I played with horse statues, Silly Putty, Play-Doh, Weebles, LEGOs and my great-grandmother's bridge jewelry.
Favorite childhood sports and activities?
I enjoyed waterskiing, volleyball (in grade school and high school and in summer beach competitions), basketball (in grade school and high school), soccer (in college as a midfielder and goalkeeper), rollerblading, roller-skating, tennis and racquetball. I also used to show and jump horses as an adolescent.
Fondest childhood memory?
During the summer after fourth grade, I went to horseback training camp where I learned to ride horses, care for them and compete. I won show and field challenge ribbons with Harlequin, a 13-year-old Pinto.
Favorite vacation destination?
Las Vegas … beautiful hotels, lots of art, lights and fun! Las Vegas also has mountains, dry heat and the beautiful Valley of Fire nearby that make it an ideal vacation destination. I'm a big fan of the Cirque du Soleil productions, and I enjoy the latest show every time I visit Las Vegas. As a child, we spent summers at my family's "Red Cabin" in Land O' Lakes, Wisconsin, where we fished, hiked, water-skied, sat around campfires, and had fun in the sun.
